सजदे में जा कर सिर कटाया हुसैन ने,
नेजे पे सिर था और ज़ुबान पे आयते,
कुरान इस तरह सुनाया हुसैन ने,
Has Hussain shown the flame in Karbala,

कुछ देख के हुआ था ज़माना हुसैन का,
सर दे के जो जहाँ की हुकूमत खरीद ले
महंगा पड़ा यज़ीद को सौदा हुसैन का,

खून से चरागएदीन जलाया हुसैन ने,
रस्मएवफ़ा को खूब निभाया हुसैन ने,
खुद को तो एक बूँद न मिल सका लेकिन
करबला को खून पिलाया हुसैन ने,

पर जो मौला के दर पर बैखोप शहीद हुआ,
वही था असली सच्चा पैगम्बर

कर्बला के नाम पर एक जाम पिया कर,
दी मुझको हुसैन इब्न अली ने ये नसीहत
जालिम हो मुकाबिल तो मेरा नाम लिया कर,
If you are in need of water, then do one thing,
After drinking a jam in the name of Karbala,
Hussein ibn Ali gave me this advice
If you are a bloodthirsty, you can take my name.
कर्बला को कर्बला के शहंशाह पर नाज़ है,
उस नवासे पर मुहम्मद को नाज़ है,
यूँ तो लाखों सिर झुके सज़दे में लेकिन
हुसैन ने वो सज़दा किया जिस पर खुदा को नाज़ है,
Karbala is proud of the emperor of Karbala,
Muhammad is proud of that Navas,
Although millions of heads bowed in punishment but
Hussein did the punishment on which God is proud,
वो जिसने अपने नाना का वादा वफ़ा कर दिया,
घर का घर सुपुर्दएखाक कर दिया,
नोश कर लिया जिसने शहादत का जाम,
उस हुसैन इब्न अली को लाखों सलाम,
The one who kept his maternal grandfather’s promise,
The house was handed over to the house,
Who destroyed the jam of martyrdom,
Millions of salutes to that Hussein ibn Ali,
